Policies and Safeguarding

Policies and Safeguarding at Zenith Care Group

Zenith Care Group is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare and protection of every child in our care. We strive to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, guided by clear and effective policies.

Safeguarding

The safety and well-being of our children are paramount. All our staff undergo rigorous safeguarding training, including understanding and identifying different forms of abuse and neglect. We maintain vigilant practices, ensuring immediate and appropriate responses to any safeguarding concerns. Our comprehensive Safeguarding Policy aligns with current legislation and best practices, including:

  • Clear reporting procedures for concerns and disclosures.
  • Robust recording and documentation practices.
  • Immediate action and escalation protocols for urgent safeguarding concerns.
  • Regular safeguarding training and supervision for all staff.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) at Zenith Care Group is Elizabeth Cooper. We collaborate closely with local safeguarding bodies and authorities to ensure multi-agency cooperation and effective safeguarding outcomes.

Behaviour Management

Our approach to managing challenging behaviour focuses on positive reinforcement, therapeutic parenting, and clear, consistent boundaries. Staff are trained to understand triggers and proactively de-escalate challenging situations through compassionate and empathetic interaction. Physical interventions are only used as a last resort to prevent harm, strictly following the guidelines provided by current regulations.

Our behaviour management strategy includes:

  • Positive behaviour support strategies
  • Tailored interventions based on individual needs
  • Proactive management to minimize disruptions
  • Clear guidance and training for staff on managing challenging behaviour

Complaints Procedure

Zenith Care Group values feedback and treats all complaints seriously and respectfully. We actively encourage children, families, and stakeholders to voice their concerns through a clear, accessible complaints procedure, ensuring fairness and transparency at all stages.

Key aspects of our Complaints Policy include:

  • Accessibility for children and stakeholders to raise concerns formally or informally.
  • Prompt acknowledgment and thorough investigation of all complaints.
  • Transparent and timely responses, with clear outcomes.
  • Support for complainants through advocacy services and external contacts like the Children’s Commissioner, Ofsted, and ChildLine.
